The rules of the service, in plain language. The short version: the diary is yours, the AI is optional and paid, and you can leave whenever you want, taking everything with you.

Meu Diário is a personal diary app. Writing, recording, attaching and rereading are free, and work offline. The free plan has a cloud storage ceiling; Smart Diary raises it.
The artificial intelligence features and the extra cloud space belong to the Smart Diary plan, and are optional.
You remain the owner of everything you write, record and attach. We claim no ownership, and no licence to publish, display or use your content to train any model.
The only permission we need is the technical one: to store, transmit and show your content back to you, and to send it to the AI when you trigger an AI feature.
You are responsible for keeping your password safe. If you lose access to the registered email, there may be no way to recover the account.
An account belongs to one person. Do not share it.
The Smart Diary plan can be paid once or with renewal. The periods are a week, a month, three months, six months and a year. The price of each one is what the plans screen shows, and it is the same either way.
Paying once, in Brazil, is Pix or card, through InfinitePay, and it does not repeat: the plan lasts until the date and then ends. Outside Brazil, a one-time payment is by card. Renewing is charged by card, through Stripe, and repeats on its own at the end of each period. There is no boleto.
There are seven extra days, once per account, on renewing plans from a month up. The week and one-time payment do not have that period. When it ends, billing begins, unless you cancel first.
Cancelling erases nothing. On a renewing plan, you keep AI access until the end of the period already paid for, and then the app returns to the free plan, with the diary whole. Nothing you wrote stops being readable or exportable because you cancelled. If you paid once, there is nothing to cancel: the plan ends on the date.
AI features have a monthly usage ceiling, generous and meant to contain automated use or a software defect, not the normal use of a diary. Each feature's ceiling is shown in Settings. Cloud storage also has a ceiling, higher on the paid plan; what you've used so far appears in Settings.
The diary does not store card data. A refund of a renewing charge, and a card change, happen in the portal that opens from Settings → Manage subscription. That portal is Stripe's, and it only exists for people who renew through it.
The current price is the one shown on the plans screen. If it changes, existing subscribers are told in advance and the change only applies from the next cycle.
Do not use the service for illegal activity, or to store content you have no right to store.
Do not try to bypass technical limits, overload the service, or reach another account's data.
This is a service maintained by one person. It is offered “as is”, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability.
Export regularly. The feature is in Settings, it is fast, and it is your safety net against any failure of ours.
If the service is discontinued, you will be told with reasonable notice and will be able to export everything first.
AI-generated summaries, analyses and answers can be wrong. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial guidance.
The app may show a support phone number when the text suggests serious distress. That is an invitation to seek human help, not care itself.
You can delete your account whenever you want, from the app or the deletion page. Deletion is permanent.
We may close an account that breaks these terms, giving notice where possible.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes and a notice appears in the app. Continuing to use it after that means accepting the new version.
