Privacy Policy

Meu Diário keeps what you write in order to give it back to you, and for nothing else. This page says plainly what leaves your device, where it goes, and how to erase all of it.

Who is responsible

Meu Diário is maintained by an individual, Pedro Lima, reachable at contato@1pedrolima.com. There is no company, investor or third party with access to the contents of anyone's diary.

What the app stores

The text of your entries, with title, summary, mood, intensity, tags and the date of each one.

Audio you record and photos, images and documents you attach.

Names and relationships of people you add (for example, “Ana, sister”) and the mentions of them inside entries. Those people are not notified and have no account here: these are your notes about them.

Precise location, if and only if you turn on “include place and weather” in Settings. It is used at the moment you save, to become a city name and a temperature. The coordinates themselves are not stored.

Your email address, used to sign in.

Access records, IP address and browser identification, with date and time. They exist so you can see, in Settings, where your account was used from.

Where it lives

On Supabase, which hosts the database and the files. Each account only sees its own rows, and that does not depend on the app behaving well: it is enforced by the database itself (Row Level Security) and tested on every change.

And on your device, in a local copy, that is what makes the app work offline. That copy is erased when you sign out.

The artificial intelligence

With AI on, the text of an entry that is not locked can go to Google Gemini: when transcribing, fixing spelling, rewriting, reading a document, searching by meaning, chatting, and in the background after you save, to write the title and summary and to build search. The answer comes back to you. Audio recorded offline is also transcribed when the network is back, if AI is on.

A locked entry never goes to the AI, by any path: analysis, transcription, search, chat, year in review. Locking an entry that was already processed deletes its summary and its search index, and it is not processed again. Unlocking lets processing resume as usual.

The AI is optional and can be switched off. Settings has a toggle that turns all of it off; with it off, not one line of your diary leaves for Google. The app stays whole, you write the title and mood by hand.

What Google does with what it receives is governed by its terms, not by this policy. If that worries you, the answer is to turn the AI off.

What does NOT happen

The app has no ads and does not sell, rent or share your content with anyone.

There are no advertising trackers and no profiles for targeting.

Nobody on the team reads your diary. Administrative access exists to operate the service (backups, fixing a defect) and is not used to read content.

Daily backup to Google Drive

It is optional and comes turned off. Turning it on authorizes the app to write to one folder in your Drive, and only that one: the permission requested (`drive.file`) cannot reach any other file of yours.

For the backup to happen every day with the app closed, our server is the one doing it. And to build the file it needs the key that locks it, so we keep your four-digit PIN and the Google authorization, both encrypted with a key that does not live in the database.

What that means, plainly: the file on your Drive stays unreadable to Google, but our server can open it. It would already have access to the same content through the database, the backup does not change that.

Turning it off deletes the authorization and the PIN immediately. Files already uploaded stay in your Drive, because they are yours.

Reading links

You can create a link that opens one entry for anyone who has the address, with no account needed. While the link is on, anyone holding it can read that entry, so treat it the way you would treat the page itself.

Turning the link off kills it immediately, and the page stops opening.

How long it is kept

For as long as your account exists. What you delete goes to a trash bin and is removed for good after the period shown there.

In Settings you can choose how many months audio is kept; after that they are deleted automatically and the transcribed text remains.

Your rights

You can export everything you have written, at any time, from Settings.

You can empty the diary (delete entries, audio and attachments) and keep the account, also from Settings, or from the account clearing page.

You can delete the whole account, also from Settings, or from the account deletion page, without installing the app and without talking to anyone. Deletion removes entries, audio, photos, attachments, people and the account record.

You may also ask to confirm processing, correct data, request portability and withdraw consent. Write to contato@1pedrolima.com.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13, and does not collect data from anyone who identifies as such.

About mental health

The app records how you felt and may show a support phone number when the text suggests serious distress. This is not diagnosis, treatment or care, and does not replace a health professional. In an emergency, seek help immediately.

Changes to this page

If what the app does with data changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top is updated.
